Re: Required Skills for a successful career in IT

First, we need to have a basic understanding of the software development process and based on the particular area, we can come up with the tools. If we take the complete software development cycle, it can be divided into 4 to 5 sections.
Requirements and Analysis - To do this job, people should have good communication skills and understanding of the software development
Architecture and Design - To do this job, people should have idea about the technologies and understanding of some rational tools.
Development - Based on the technologies, people should  have background in some programming languages.
QA & Test - To do this job, people need to understand the Quality Assurance  and testing process. Skills in testing tools will be really use full for the automation.

Dear Friends,

Someone asked me the question:
What are the skills required for an IT professional to succeed?

Most of us are in IT areas, or know someone who is an IT professional.
What do you think are the important skills required for a successful
career in IT? Technical or otherwise. Please limit to 5 skills that you
think are most needed. You may want to benchmark against the world
