place.

Following is the text from the event:

Dr. Kodela's General Statements:

1) I have come here for a genuine cause to raise funds for
Indo American Cancer Hospital and am pleased to report to you all
of the overwhelming response from our NRI friends.

2) Happy to observe that IT is doing good now-a-days and many
professionals are inspired by Janmabhoomi and are spending time
and money in "giving back" to the homeland in terms of schools,
health, sanitation, roads and infrastructure.

3) Called on to NRIs to come forward and generously support good
initiatives in AP and influence friends to contribute to the
motherland.

4) The reason for TDP loss - it is very hard to satisfy everybody and
there was anti-incumbency. Adding to the woes we were fighting against
nature (sever draught) and also the bureaucrats.

5) Right now as a responsible opposition we are not pouncing on
Congress but rather giving them some time (honeymoon period) by
thinking realistically and not interfering in their process.

On Current Situation in AP:

1) Law and Order is in a sad situation. There is increased violence and

threat to lives of not only the politicians but also to the common man.

2) Congress has made false promises that cannot be fulfilled by any
party.
Free power is not here to stay - it is going to phase out.

3) The continued promises of completing 26 projects costing between
65Kcrore - 85K crores in the next 5 years is a blatant and false
promise. People should realize that after decades of construction
Nagarjuna Sagar is not yet complete.

4) Congress is misusing police forces, spending a lot of money on
starting contracts that are never going to be complete.

What TDP is doing now:

1) As a responsible opposition giving Congress a chance to prove their
mettle.

2) Assessing the reasons for the losses in recent elections and taking
appropriate measures to strengthen the party by inspiring rank and
file.

3) Strengthening grass-root level cadre and reinforcing confidence.

"Meet and Great Dr. Kodela Sivaprasad" event was organized by
Sri Chandu Sambasiva Rao, TDP leader - Duggirala Constituency,
at his residence this weekend. This is part of an ongoing series of
"Meet and Greet" sessions and discussions to help NRI's better
understand the goings on in our home state, AP.

About 60 NRI's participated in this event contributing
to very lively Question & Answer session followed by Dr. Kodela's
speech. Community leaders from in and around Greater Washington Metro
area participated. Sri Chandu Sambasiva Rao presented the guest
to the audience and moderated the Q&A session.
Sumptuous South Indian food was served following the discussions.

-Dr. Naren Kodali compiled this report for general distribution.

Regards,
Chandu
