Very nice discussion. Probably the best so far.
Agreed that many people does not perform 8 hours of
work during the day, I beleive employers are aware of
this fact. There are so many checks and balances to
contain this. Peformance reviews, status meetings,
team lead reviews, etc to name a few. As long as
assigned tasks are getting completed on time, I don't
think employers (to certain extent) wouldn't really
care if you take an hour off of your 8 hour work.

How is this related to elected officials taking bribes
to perform their duties?

Just my thoughts.
